Lauren Owen

23 year old Web Developer & DIGITAL DESIGNER BASED in New York City

Born and raised in Lithonia, Georgia, I am a 2016 graduate of the Howard University School of Business where I received a BBA in Information Systems with honors. My courses set the ground work for my career in web development and my leadership in extracurricular activities, including Alpha Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Campus Pals, and student council, laid the foundation for my goal to help organizations make bigger more effective impacts. I aspire to promote technology and innovation for individuals and companies, which I have begun work in as a volunteer Tech Education Teacher at Georgetown Day School, a freelance web developer, and the Web Design and Development Specialist for the National Headquarters of my sorority. I seek to move into higher education as a professor later in life in order to inspire young minds the same way my Information Systems faculty inspired me.
